Nordic Half Day

Nordic Half Day

Try Nordic skiing with winter! If you wish to explore the mountains in peace and tranquillity, or push your fitness limits, Nordic skiing can cater for both. Half day private lessons are perfect to get going.

If you wish to explore the mountains in peace and tranquillity, or push your fitness limits and increase your VO2 Max, Nordic skiing can cater for both.

Throughout the winter season you can book private lessons with our talented Nordic instructor. These lessons are all about you. We go at your pace and set some personal goals at the start of every lesson. All PEAK instructors are well versed with numerous teaching styles and techniques to deliver what works best for you.

  • This lesson is for 2.5 hours starting at either 0930 or 1330.
  • The meeting points are either top of the Pleney Bubble in Morzine, top of the Chavannes Bubble in Les Gets or in Praz de Lys, you can select your meeting point on the booking page.
  • We recommend you start on classic technique before advancing to skating technique.

See our FAQ's below for information on equipment, what to wear and what to expect.

If you're unsure give us a call on +44 (0) 1483 616 522 or chat to Grace with our website chat box on the right.

Why should you take a Nordic ski lesson?
  • Explore the mountains in a more ecologically friendly way
  • Escape the crowds
  • It will improve your balance on downhill skis
  • You don't need a full area ski pass

Nordic skiing is a low impact sport, being relatively unidirectional, with very little rapid twisting or torsion to the limbs and the free heel binding minimises risk to the knee joint should falls happen. Even when practised at a low work rate, it remains a high calorie burner. It can, therefore, be considered equally suitable for the less fit participants. As energetic as you wish it to be, Nordic skiing is just as good for the casual exerciser as for the fitness buffs.
For those that are more energetic and competitive, there are many “peoples” races every weekend throughout the season all across Europe. These range from short sprints to 90km+ marathons.

  • Duration : 150 Minutes (approx.)
From EUR €143.00
