Ski camps run from Sunday to Saturday with at least 5 hours of coaching per day Monday to Friday, plus video analysis sessions in the evening and socials!
This beginner camp is perfect for those wanting to get to parallel skiing most effectively, if you've never skied before this is the right camp for you. By the end of the week, you should be controlling your speed and line on blue runs using parallel turns. At the end of the camp you will have a documented action plan which all PEAK coaches have access to. This means you can continue your development with any of our coaches anytime.
Pre-requisite:
Get up unaided if you fall
Able to participate in skiing non-stop for 3 hours
Be injury free
Follow our pre-ski trip fitness program
Unsure of your level:
If you're unsure this is the level for you, pick camp dates with another level camp running so we can move you between the camp levels as required. Or speak to one of our coaches on +441483616522
A typical week includes:
- Building blocks of skiing - Where all great skiers start, we call these the building blocks. We always visit these on every course to "re-centre"
- Video Analysis - A group session highlighting the good bits and the work on bits analysed by you with the support of your coach.
- Piste performance - Learn how to make short and long turns on the piste and manage narrow or tricky sections with ease.
- Bumps - One of the most challenging areas of skiing, but so much fun. We'll show you best approaches and build your confidence in this area.
- Steep terrain - How to safely ski terrain over 35 degrees, controlling your speed and line.
- Equipment workshop - Understanding the correct set-up for you, and how to prepare your equipment to give you the best performance.
This is subject to change depending on weather and group ability.
