Advanced ski camp - 4 hours
- Duration: 5 Days (approx.)
- Product code: PKU1MJ
The 5-day coaching courses run from Monday to Friday with at least 5 hours of coaching per day, plus video analysis sessions in the evening and socials!
You will be comfortable skiing most red runs but would like to improve your technique so that you can tackle changing snow conditions, steeper slopes, off-piste and bumps.
These courses are perfect for those wanting to develop their skiing on a regular basis, at the end of the course you will have a documented action plan which all PEAK coaches have access to. This means you can continue your development with any of our coaches anytime.
Pre-requisite:
Ski Red and Black runs in parallel confidently and in control
Ski non-stop for 3 hours at 2,000m+ altitude
Ski a fall line descent in the bumps
Link at least 5 turns together off-piste
You can get up unaided if you fall
Unsure of your level:
If you're unsure this is the level for you, pick a camp that has another camp level running and we can move you between the camps as required.
A typical week includes:
- Building blocks of skiing - Where all great skiers start, we call these the building blocks. We always visit these on every course to "re-centre"
- Video Analysis - A group session highlighting the good bits and the work on bits analysed by you with the support of your coach.
- Piste performance - Pushing the limits of your skis on the piste. Expect to nail carving on most runs!
- Off-piste - Technique, tactics and safety. One of our favourite areas of skiing (when the conditions are right)
- Bumps - One of the most challenging areas of skiing, but so much fun to be had. We'll show you the skills!
- Steep terrain - How to safely ski terrain over 35 degrees, controlling your speed and line.
- Equipment workshop - Understanding the correct set-up for you, and how to prepare your equipment to give you the best performance.
This is subject to change depending on weather and group ability.
